Presentation Formats

The Program Committee invites you to submit abstracts for consideration for an Oral Presentation (45-60 minutes). All abstracts will undergo a peer review process by the program committee. The Program Committee will allocate abstracts to the program taking into account the quality of each abstract and the balance of the program.

Oral Presentation

45-60 minute presentation during the conference program.

Guidelines for Submission:

  • All abstracts are to be submitted via the on-line submission process on this website. Submission by email, fax or post will not be accepted.
  • Abstracts must be no more than 300 words in length
  • Do NOT include symbols, tables, pictures or diagrams within the abstract.
  • Any abbreviations must be spelt out on first use.

The receipt of all abstracts will be confirmed by an acknowledging email. All applications will be considered by the RAoA 2014 Program Committee. All applicants will be notified of the success or otherwise of their application within plenty of time to register within the Early Bird Registration phase.

Prepare your abstract

Prepare your abstract in a Microsoft Word document using the abstract template above.

To be considered for presentation your abstract must include:

  • A descriptive presentation title of a up to fifteen words. Use upper and lower case in the title, not only upper case.
  • The names, organisations, suburbs, states and email addresses (optional) for each author. Indicate the presenting author in bold.
  • The presentation abstract of 250-300 words.

Register your abstract

Go to the Presenters Zone to register your contact details and the abstract title. You can enter multiple presentations.

Upload your abstract

At the end of the registration process you will be asked to upload your Microsoft Word document

Audiovisual Equipment

Each lecture room will be equipped for the presentation of Power Point slides and include a data projector, computer (with external speakers), lectern and microphone. Multimedia clips should be embedded in your slides. Whiteboards or flip charts will be provided for workshop presentations on request. Other audiovisual aids, such as Overhead Projectors, are not available.

Presenters will take their Power Point slides and associated media files to the conference on a memory stick, where an audiovisual technician will load your presentation. All slides will be run from a central presentation computer. However, if you have a complex presentation, which includes multiple media files, we suggest you bring your own laptop as a backup in case of difficulties loading your presentation.

Once you are in the selection process to be one of our speakers you will be able to negotiate your expenses (ie. registration fees/dinner expenses) with the Conference Committee.
